I'm an MHS parent and data professional running for the Board of Education to promote achievement, transparency and accountability in the Montclair Public Schools.

To me, we can't have transparency if we don't know where we stand next to our peers. When the fiscal crisis hit Montclair, I wanted to understand what we were doing right and how we might be able to improve. So I collected every school budget in New Jersey and turned that data into a report card that benchmarks every district in the state. See Montclair's report card.

I'm running because Montclair has been good to my family, and achievement should be available to everyone. I'm running because the fiscal crisis has made our community more vulnerable than ever, so we need to be more transparent than ever. I'm running because I want to bring my skills and experience to leave our schools better than we found them.
